durch das Streben nach dem Uner-
reichbaren in der Architektur.
Die Ausstellung gibt einen Über-
blick über den Bau von Türmen und
Wolkenkratzern. Die Tour beginnt
am legendären Turm von Babel,
ein Bau, der die Naturgesetze und
die göttliche Macht in Frage stellte
und endet bei den ersten Wolken-
kratzern, die um 1850 in den Ve-
reinigten Staaten gebaut wurden.

sins, maquettes, photographies et
montages audiovisuels.
Cette exposition retrace l’histoire
de la construction des tours et
gratte-ciels. L’itinéraire proposé
va depuis le mythe de la tour de
Babel, un édifice qui défiait les
lois de la nature et le pouvoir di-
vin, jusqu’aux premiers gratte-ciels
apparus vers 1850 aux États-Unis.

rido por la búsqueda de lo inac-
cesible a través de la arquitectura.
La muestra repasa la historia de la
construcción de torres y rascacie-
los. El itinerario propuesto parte del
mito de la torre de Babel, una edi-
ficación que desafiaba las leyes
naturales y el poder divino, y lle-
ga hasta los primeros rascacielos
que aparecen en Estados Unidos
sobre 1850.

means of architecture.
The exhibition covers the history of
construction of towers and skyscra-
pers. The route starts with the myth
of the Tower of Babel, a building
that defied God and the laws of
nature, and gets to the first skyscra-
pers that were built in the US around
1850.
