Endlich ist er da - unser Lieb-
lingsmonat an der Costa
Brava. Während in Deutschland
und anderen Ländern schon lang-
sam der Winter eingeläutet wird
und die Heizungen auf Hochtou-
ren laufen, können wir uns noch ein
bisschen Zeit lassen und die letz-
ten Sonnenstrahlen geniessen - die
sind sowieso die besten, weil wir
sie mit kaum Jemandem teilen müs-
sen. Still und heimlich haben sich
nämlich die Reisewütigen von der
Küste zurückgezogen und wenn es
uns jetzt ans Meer zieht, haben wir
das Gefühl, der Strand gehört uns
ganz allein. Der beste Zeitpunkt,
um die Zehen noch einmal tief im
Sand zu vergraben oder in die
noch warmen Wellen zu hüpfen,
bevor der Winter sich auch bis
hierher durchgefressen hat. Lang-
weilig wird dieser Monat trotz der
Ruhe nicht, dafür sei gesorgt. Ein
buntes Event drängelt sich neben
dem Anderen in unserem Kalen-
der - wie wäre es zum Beispiel mit
dem Anchovy Festival in L‘Escala
oder der Firatast in Girona, die
Leckermäuler der ganzen Küste in
die Stadt lockt? Jazzfans werden
beim Festival in Palafrugell glück-
lich und ein besonderes Spektakel
wird der Viehabtrieb (Tria de Mu-
lats) am 13. Oktober sein. Bevor
wir bis Dezember in unseren klei-
nenWinterschlaf fallen, verkünden
wir außerdem in dieser Ausgabe
die stolzen Gewinner unseres Fa-
cebook - Fotowettbewerbes und
bedanken uns hiermit schonmal
herzlich bei all den fleißigen Bild-
jägern. Genug dem Gerede, es
ist Zeit, sich in den Spätsommer zu
stürzen - die Cleveren, bei denen
es der Alltag zulässt, begeben sich
nämlich erst jetzt auf die Reise an
die Costa Brava.
Finally the time has come
- our favorite month at the
Costa Brava. While Germany and
other countries already welcome
the wintertime and the heaters are
in full swing, can we take our time
and enjoy the last rays of the sun
- which are the best anyway, be-
cause we don‘t have to share them
with anybody. Quietly and secrety
have the curious travelers left the
coast and if we make our way to
the sea now, the beach belongs
to us alone. Its the best moment to
bury your toes in the sand or jump
into the warm waves before win-
ter finally approaches. Despite the
qietness, the month is not going to
be boring. One colorful event after
the other takes place at the Costa
Brava - how about the Anchovy
Festival in L‘escala or the Firatast in
Girona, attracting streams of gour-
mets into the city? Jazz fans can‘t
wait for the Festival in Palafrugell
and the return of the cattle at the
13th of October is going to be
a special spectacle. Before we
fall into our little hibernation until
December,
we also announce the proud win-
ner of our Facebook-photo compe-
tition in this edition and would like
to thank all the busy image hunt-
ers. Enough talk, lets begin the late
summer - the smart ones, which are
permitted by their work, now start
their journey to the Costa Brava.
Enfin ici - notre mois favo-
ri dans la Costa Brava.
Quand en Allemagne et d’autres
pays nordiques presque com-
mence l’hiver et les radiateurs
sont allumés, nous pouvons encore
nous détendre et profiter du soleil.
Les rayons du soleil sont tellement
plus agréables de ne pas avoir à
partager avec d’autres. Presque

Costa Brava. Cuando en Alema-
nia y otros países nórdicos ya casi
empieza el invierno y se encienden
las calefacciones, nosotros toda-
vía podemos relajarnos y disfru-
tar del sol. Los rayos del sol son
tanto más agradables que no los
tengamos que compartir con mu-
chos. Los turistas casi todos han
desaparecido de la costa y cuan-
do ahora vamos a la playa, te-
nemos la sensación de estar en
nuestra playa privada.
... Los aficionados al jazz pueden
disfrutar del festival en Palafrugell.
La Tria de Mulats (13 de octubre)
es un espectáculo muy especial,
pero tanto más divertido. Antes de
la hibernación en diciembre, tam-
bién presentamos el ganador de
nuestro concurso de fotografía en
Facebook y ya damos las gracias
a todos que han participado. Su-
ficientes palabras, ¡empecemos a
disfrutar del verano tardío!
