Talleres de artesanos, encuentros de pastores, escenas de Navidad en callejuelas estrechas... los pueblos gerundenses se transforman en escenarios a escala real para los personajes de carne y huesos de los Pesebres Vivientes.
Un circuito marcado te llevará a recorrer toda la representación, de escena en escena. Comprueba como el entorno se funde con el decorado con resultados espectaculares, en ocasiones en núcleos antiguos medievales y otras veces en las afueras, en plena naturaleza. En algunas representa- ciones, una voz en off te sitúa en el contexto histórico y lo hace partícipe de las profecías que anuncian la llegada del Mesías. En otras, déjate sorprender por efectos especiales tan espectaculares como el vuelo de un ángel anunciando el Nacimiento.
Son muchos los pueblos gerundenses que tienen su propio Pesebre Vi- viente, algunos con más tradición que otros, pero todos con su encan- to. Craft workshops, shepherds’ gatherings, Christmas scenes in narrow streets... the towns and villages of Girona province turn into life-sized stages for real people acting out Living Nativity Scenes.
A signposted circuit will take you all around these various scenes, from stage to stage. See for yourself how the stage sets blend in with their surroundings to spectacular effect – sometimes in old medieval districts and other times outside the villages, amid nature. In some of these stag- ings, an off-stage voice will ll you in on the historical context and tell you about the prophesies announcing the coming of the Messiah. In others, you will be astonished by such spectacular special effects as the ight of an angel announcing the Birth.
There are many towns and villages in Girona province that have their own Living Nativity Scene, some with longer traditions behind them than others, but all with a charm of their own.
