Karibisches Flair herrscht

ber in ganz Begur bei der Fira
d’Indians. Vom 16. bis ins 19.
Jh. war Kuba spanische Kolo-
nie. Auch viele Katalanen such-
ten damals ihr Glück in Übersee
und machten ein Vermögen. Zu-
rück in der Heimat errichteten
sie prachtvolle Häuser. In Begur
feiert man die Verbundenheit
zu der
Karibikinsel mit einem bunten
Straßenfest. Der Markt mit ko-
lonialen Gütern lockt zum Kauf.
Kubanischer Tanz und Musik,
bunte Kostüme und Caipirinhas
sorgen für ausgelassene Stim-
mung bis in den Morgen. Ein
Fest mit Spaßgarantie, das man
nicht verpassen sollte!
From September 3nd to
September 4nd, the enti-
re town rejoices and plunges into
Caribbean fair. It is the time of
a festival called Fira d’Indians.
From the 16th to the 19th centu-
ry, Cuba was a Spanish colony,
and there were quite a fewCata-
lans, who went to fnd their luck
at the other side of the ocean.
They returned, having gained a
fortune, and built the splendid
houses. In Begur, this bond to the
Caribbean island is celebrated
with a festival on the streets. The
market, offering vegetables and
other colonial goods, invites the
guests to stay and buy some of
them. Cuban music and dances,
colourful costumes and tasty Cai-
pirinhas put everyone in good
spirits, until the morning comes.

mina la ciudad del 3 el
4 de septiembre, teniendo lugar
la Fira d’Indians. Desde el siglo
XVI hasta el siglo XIX Cuba fue
una colonia española. En aquel-
las épocas muchos catalanes
emigraron en ultramar para em-
pezar una nueva vida. Algunos
realmente hicieron una fortuna y
construyeron casas espléndidas
cuando volvieron.
Begur nunca ha olvidado el
pasado compartido con la isla
caribeña, organizando cada
año una gran festa de calle: un
mercado colonial, músicos cu-
banos, trajes multicolores y deli-
ciosos caipirinhas producen am-
biente caribeño en medio de la
Costa Brava. ¡No se lo pierda!

Du XVIe au XIXe siècle, Cuba
était une colonie espagnole.
Des Catalans sont partis outre-
mer pour faire fortune et à leur
retour ont fait construire de très
belles maisons. Durant les quel-
ques jours de cette fête, tout rap-
pelle les Caraïbes : le marché
avec des produits exotiques, les
danses et la musique cubaines,
les costumes
revêtus par les habitants et les
caïpirinhas. Une fête colorée à
ne pas manquer !
