Mit einer Sammlung von weit über 4.000
Theaterplakaten ist das Deutsche Plakatmu-
seum ein bedeutendes Kulturarchiv. Aus diesem
Fundus wurden achtzig Arbeiten für die aktuelle
Ausstellung „Theater für die Straße - Plakate für
das Theater“ ausgewählt, die die Geschichte und
Entwicklung des Theaterplakats zeigen. Von 1826
bis in die Gegenwart wird hierbei der Bogen ge-
spannt - darunter Werke aus Italien, Frankreich,
Österreich, der Schweiz und Deutschland. Das
Spektrum reicht von der Opernpremiere bis zum
Solotanzabend, vom klassischen Schauspiel bis
zum off-Theater. Neben einem umfassenden his-
torischen Überblick, bietet die Ausstellung einen
detailreichen Einblick in die bewegte Plakatge-
schichte des Essener Aalto-Theaters, darunter ein
Theaterplakat von
André Liebscher
, der seit
vielen Jahren hier an der Costa Brava lebt und
arbeitet.
Auch in Konkurrenz zu einer medialen Bilderflut -
seinen Reiz hat das Plakat bis heute nicht verloren.
El Museo Alemán del Carteles tiene una
colección de más de 4.000 carteles de
teatro y por lo tanto es un importante archivo cul-
tural. De esta colección se seleccionaron ochenta
obras para crear la exposición actual Teatro para
la Calle - Carteles para el Teatro, que recorre la
historia y el desarrollo del cartel de teatro. El pla-
zo se extiende desde 1826 hasta nuestros días,
y la extensión geográfica de Italia, Francia, Aus-
tria y Suiza a Alemania; los géneros incluyen las
estrenas de ópera, noches de baile en solitario,
y el teatro clásico tanto como el teatro alternativo.
Junto a una visión histórica amplia, la exposición
también ofrece una visión en profundidad sobre
la historia de los carteles del Teatro Aalto en Es-
sen, entre ellos una obra de
André Liebscher
que vive y trabaja en la Costa Brava desde hace
muchos años.
A pesar de haber de competir con el torrente
de las imágenes presentadas por los medios de
comunicación modernos, los carteles de teatro
siguen siendo capaces de fascinar, como de-
muestra esta exposición.
The German Poster Museum has a collection of more
than 4.000 theatre posters and thus is an important cul-
tural archive. Eighty works from this collection were selected to
create the current exhibition “Theatre for the Street – Posters for
the Theatre”, which traces the history and development of the
theatre poster. The time-frame extends from 1826 to the present
day, and the geographical expanse from Italy, France, Austria
and Switzerland to Germany; the wealth of genres from the
elaborate opera premieres to the solo dance evenings, from
classical drama to fringe theatre. Alongside a comprehensive
historical overview, the exhibition also offers an in-depth insight
into the eventful poster history of the Aalto Theater in Essen,
among them a work of
André Liebscher
who has lived
and worked on the Costa Brava since many years.
Even in competition with the host of pictures brought by mass
media, theatre posters are still able to fascinate.
