Nur wenige Schritte von der Kathedrale entfernt, findet man
das alte Judenviertel. Das „Call de Girona“ ist das am
besten erhaltene Judenviertel Kataloniens und eines der
bedeutendsten Spaniens. Die Gassen Cúndaro und Sant
Llorenç sind die schmalsten und steilsten im Viertel rund
um die Carrer Força. Die jüdische Gemeinde Gironas
war mit 300 Bewohnern, nach der Barcelonas, die
zahlreichste Kataloniens. Das friedliche Nebeneinan-
der der Religionen endete in der zweiten Hälfte des

there is the old Jewish quarter. The
