d’architecture populaire. Nous sortons de Calella en direction de Palafrugell par la route GIV-6548. De Palafrugell, nous pouvons signaler son important centre commer-cial et de services. La manufacture de liège, une grande tradition du village, a laissé des traces signifcatives d’architecture industrielle (c’est le cas de l’usine Armstrong, ouvrage de style mo-derniste). Nous sortons de Palafrugell par la route C-31 en direction de Palamós. Avant d’y arriver, les panneaux indiquent la plage de Castell à gauche. Au bout de 7 km environ, nous arrivons à la plage de Castell par une route secondaire. Un petit chemin de ronde qui longe la plage du côté nord conduit jusqu’au cap de sa Cobertera, où se trouvent les ruines d’un village ibérique (IVe avant J.C)

Cobertera headland, where there are remains of an old Iberian settlement from 4th centu-ry BC. Go back along the same track and out onto the C-31 main road. Follow the signs to Palamós. Just before the town, turn off to the left and follow the signs for La Fosca beach , well worth a stop. Drive out of La Fosca along the coast road through the urbanisation until you reach Palamós, going past the pleasure port and then the fshing port until you get to the town centre.
