elBulli a fermé ses portes en
2011, et dès lors Ferran Adrià a été
occupé à convertir le restaurant en
la fundation elBulli, avec son nou-
veau partenaire Telefónica. Après
une phase initiale dans laquelle
le concept semblait encore très
vague, il y a maintenant un certain
nombre de projets spécifiques.
À Roses, Adrià et son équipe créent
un nouveau musée et archive des
choses qui ont été créés au cours
des années à elBulli. Le musée sera
nommé “elBulli 1846”, en référence

crete projects underway.
In Roses, Adrià and his team are
creating a new museum and ar-
chive for the dishes and things
they have created in elBulli during
the years, which will go under the
name of “elBulli 1846”, both refer-
ring to the number of recipes cre-
ated at elBulli and the birth year of
France’s famous chef Auguste Es-
coffier. Just a few kilometres up the
wild coast, at Cala Montjoi, the
former restaurant is being turned
into a research centre, which will
get the name “elBulli DNA”. Cat-
alan architect Enric Ruiz-Geli will
build some additional offices,
a screening room and archives
around the original kitchen, which
will be preserved. One of the first
