Probablemente este año mismo, la UNESCO designará el parque natural de la Serra de l’Albera patrimonio cultural de la humanidad.
Los que quieren visitarla, pueden elegir entre múltiples senderos y rutas por las montañas. Una de ellas pasa por “l’Estany de la Jonquera” con sus dólmenes y menhires.
En La Jonquera salimos de la NII a Cantallops. La pequeña carretera ser- pentea hacia el cielo. Después de un rato descubrimos el primer señal que indica la ruta y aparcamos el coche. Un tablón nos propone un itinerario para ver algunos de los dólmenes. Sin embargo, nosotros hemos elegido una ruta más larga: según nuestro plan vamos a caminar dos horas por terreno bien accesible. En todo caso, nos hemos puesto buen calzado.

Due to its special traits the natural park Serra de l’Albera will be made a World Heritage Side by the UNESCO this year.
Many hiking trails lead through the mountains, one of them through the pond-dotted grounds of Estanys de la Jonquera, past dolmes and menhirs. In la Jonqura we leave the NII and take the road to Cantallops. The small road winds up the mountain. A few moments later we nd the signpost to our right hand side and pull in there. A tablet gives some information concerning the loop road leading to a few dolmes. We have decided for a longer way, two hours if our plan can be trusted. We have chosen for sturdy shoes.
It has been raining the last couple of days, and it has been a blessing for the landscape, which is of a dominant green against a very blue sky. There is the sweet fragrance of wild herbs, the violet buds of lavender.
