From the Costa Brava, the French border is just a stone’s throw away. We spent a day on a road trip to the Pyrenees. The skylight is open, the radio is turned on and finally the fresh, mountain air is in our lungs. The sun is shining, and a breath of tramontane is blowing through our hair. We go along the rough coast, with a view of the horizon, where sky and sea meet. Then through the evergreen cork and holm oak forests of La Gar- rotxa. Von der Costa Brava aus, liegt die französische Grenze nur ein Katzen- sprung entfernt. Wir machen einen Tag lang auf einen Roadtrip Richtung Pyrenäen. Das Dachfenster auf, Radio aufgedreht und endlich fische Bergluft in der Nase. Die Sonne scheint und und ein Hauch Tramontana weht durchs Haar. Ein Stück an der rauen Küste entlang, mit Blick auf den Horizont, wo Himmel und Meer aufeinander treffen. Dann durch die immergrünen Kork- und Steineichenwälder der Garrotxa. Und Zack
